TJAAA Welcomes Our New Ombudsman

July 28, 2010

Triangle J Area Agency on Aging welcomes Charlotte Terwilliger as our newest Ombudsman. Charlotte has completed her comprehensive state training and will be assisting residents and families in long-term care facilities in Orange and Chatham counties.

Charlotte has a MSW from State University of New York at Albany. She has extensive experience working with older adults and others as a medical social worker, including 20 years at Wake Medical Center. Her final position there was Director of Case Management, which included oversight of utilization management, discharge planning, care coordination, social work services, substance abuse services, behavioral health services and financial counseling services.

We are confident that Charlotte will be a wonderful and complimentary member of our TJAAA staff and that she will be a strong advocate for residents and their families in our region.

Charlotte can be reached at cterwilliger@tjcog.org or (919) 558-9401.
